Biography
I am Jabria Anala. An eighteen-year-old college student majoring in Studio Art from Atlanta, GA residing in Marietta, GA. My work consists of Black cultural arts and stories. My work is to uplift and share real life value stories of my community whether negative or positive. My motivation for my creation is God and the recent events of Black history being taken out of schools all over the country. I want to continue to spread the message of black culture and to reach all ages of African/African American descent. My pieces are full of vibrant colors and mediums. I focus mainly on the acrylic medium within my pieces. I've always been creative since I was a little child. My mother is my biggest inspiration. Though she is a single parent with four children, she never let anyone, or anything stop us all from doing our best and showing off our greatest talents. She helped me see how talented I truly was when peers told me I was not. After coming of age, I've been pushing myself to create more art than ever before. As I continue my journey as an artist, I remember one specific quote: "How you gone win if you ain't right within"
Lauryn Hill.
I have been doing art since elementary school. I am an all-around creative. I am a fashion designer, interior designer, painter, and more. In my art career, my number one motto is "why do we have to do one thing? how about let's do it all." I want to be seen as more than just a black artist/creative. I am faithful that my impact will be stronger than I can even imagine.
